Course 09 of 13
Back-end Web Development
Build the engine behind a website: the accounts, the data and the logic. Back-end development is the part of a website visitors never see: where accounts are checked, information is stored and the real work gets done. You learn how servers, databases and the logic behind an application fit together.
In plain words
If a website were a shop, the back-end is the store room, the till and the record book behind the counter. Customers never see it, but nothing works without it.

When you log in, pay for something or save a post, a program on a computer somewhere checks who you are, stores what you did and sends back the right answer. Back-end developers write that program.
You learn how a server receives a request and replies, how information is kept safely in a database, and how to let the front of a website talk to the back. You finish by putting a working application online.
Where this skill is used
