Course 10 of 13
Cloud Computing
Understand the infrastructure modern software runs on. Cloud computing is how applications are hosted, scaled and kept running without owning the hardware. You explore the building blocks that power the services people use every day.
In plain words
Instead of every business buying its own generator, they plug into a shared power grid. The cloud is that grid, for computers.
Prefer to listen? Hear this course explained in about a minute.
When you watch a video or use an app, the real work happens on powerful computers far away, rented from companies like Amazon, Google or Microsoft. That rented computing power is called the cloud.
You learn how apps and websites are stored and run there, how to keep them working when many people use them at once, and how to keep them secure without wasting money. It suits people who like systems and structure more than visual design.
Where this skill is used
- Tech companies and startups
- Banks and large organisations moving their systems online
