Course 13 of 13

Robotics

Build and program machines that sense, decide and move. Robotics is where code meets the physical world. You put together machines from parts, wire up sensors and motors, and write the instructions that make them move and react. Because it is hands-on with real kits, it is taught at the hub only.

Enrol & pay

In plain words

A robot is a machine that can sense what is around it, decide what to do, and then do it. Robotics is learning to build one and tell it what to do.

Prefer to listen? Hear this course explained in about a minute.

Think of an automatic door: something notices you coming, something decides to open, and a motor does the opening. Every robot works on that same idea of sense, decide, act.

You learn it with your hands. You connect parts, write short programs, switch it on, watch what it does, and fix what went wrong. That is why the class is physical only: the kits and tools are at the hub.

Where this skill is used

  • Manufacturing and automation
  • Agriculture, health and security devices
  • Engineering studies and competitions

What you’ll cover

What the programme covers

The main areas Robotics takes you through, from the first class to your final project. The week-by-week outline for the next cohort is shared when you enrol or enquire.

  • How robots sense, decide and act
  • Basic electronics and circuits
  • Sensors and motors
  • Programming a microcontroller
  • Building and testing a working robot

Is it for you?

This might suit you if…

  • You like taking things apart to see how they work
  • You enjoy building with your hands as much as on a screen
  • You are patient when something doesn't work the first time

How you’ll learn

The Haut Hub way

  1. Learn the concept
  2. Practise the skill
  3. Build a project
  4. Get feedback and guidance

What you get

  • Hands-on, practical learning
  • Access to experienced mentors
  • A flexible schedule
  • Internship opportunities
  • A supportive tech community
  • A certificate of completion

As a physical student you have access to power supply, high-speed internet and a conducive environment to learn.

We describe what you can learn. We don’t promise jobs or guaranteed outcomes: what you get from the course depends on the work you put in.

Before you enrol

Can’t find what you need? Talk to the team and we’ll answer directly.

How do I enrol?

Tell us which programme you're interested in through the Get Started form, or message us on WhatsApp. The team will reply with the current intake details and walk you through the next steps.

Who can apply?

Our programmes are built for young people who want practical digital skills, and many courses start from the basics. Requirements can differ from course to course, so tell us where you're starting from and we'll point you to the right one.

How long do the courses run?

Between one and five months, depending on the course. Intro to Computer and AI Content Creation run 1–2 months, most courses run 2–4 months, and Mobile App Development runs 4–5 months. Each week has 2 class days and 1 project day. The full list is on the Tech Academy page.

Are classes physical or virtual?

Both. Every course can be taken physically at the hub in Epe or virtually. Physical students have access to power supply, high-speed internet and a conducive environment to learn. Virtual classes cost less.

How much are the fees, and can I pay in parts?

Physical classes cost ₦50,000 to ₦250,000 and virtual classes ₦35,000 to ₦150,000, depending on the course. You don't have to pay in full: a 50% commitment fee secures your slot, and we offer a flexible plan for the balance. See every course's fee on the Tech Academy page.

Do I need my own laptop?

Yes, please come with your own laptop. Power and internet are provided at the hub.
